What motivates you? It's 7:08am here at my house and I just got home from a kick ass cardio session. For some odd reason I couldn't sleep. I got up at 3am and smashed a protein shake, then just kinda fell into a mini slumber only to wake up WIDE awake at 5am. So I turn over and look at all the pictures of the pros who I admire. I then went on youtube and watched the training montage from rocky III and IV. Then I read a bit from animalpak.com then it was already 5:30 and I put my clothes on looked at the mirror at myself and said.. seriously, F you your behind lets get to work for that 1st place trophy.
While doing cardio it was all I could think of. All the compliments I got from you great people, from my coach Eric, from on good friend Joel, my co workers, etc. All of just consumed me and I basically had a moment where I realize I'm doing this for myself! So I"m back here writing this up to share with you guys my other family and wanted to let you know thank you and that I just dropped it to 5th gear and I"m not looking back! I'm pissed, excited, nervous, but best of all... I'm DETERMINED NOT TO FAIL!

Look in the mirror, see the progress you've made and that should inspire you to do better. Be the best you can be. If you can draw inspiration from yourself, then you can get it anywhere, anytime. Be it, a favorite pose in a magazine, or the hot lady next to you on the Gauntlet. Kick ass, take names, then throw the name away since it didn't mean anything to you in the first place-it was just a step you had to go through to reach your goal; to be the BEST you CAN be.

Great posts, Andrew and YB! Motivaiton should come from within, and you should always try to exceed your personal best. Steady improvement is a victory! Took the words out of my mouth. My motivation comes from within. I think of no one else but myself and how to be better on stage then I was the last time. I push myself to out do my last workout and to diet harder and come in bigger and leaner with every show. Every show I do is about me being better then I was the year before. If that is good enough to win the show then that is just an added bonus.

Motivating post Andrew!
I have 3 major sources of motivation.
You people in here are a constant source of motivation, my intense desire to improve is another… and the third one would be my fear to fail...
