I found your site through Ironage. I would like to congratulate you on a real nice looking site. I also read a couple of your articles, Three Warriors and hard Core gyms. Really enjoy your style of writing. i recognize some of the members here from other boards and they seem to know there stuff when it comes to BBing.
I have only been lifting for a year, I am 36 years old and started out just trying to lose some weight. Got bored with cardio real quick and as soon as I lifted my first weight, I was hooked. It has been a year 5 days ago. I have made some good progress, and plan on lifting until i can't lift anymore.
I hope to become a regular contributer on this board.

Rich, congrats on your progress andthanks for joining the forum. It`s a great lifestyle but at times it`s tough too. Are you from Rochester? I live in upstate NY, and saw one of your other posts about living in the same town as 3 of the bodybuilder`s you mentioned. I know Farrah,Chick, and Danny all live in Rochester. I`m glad you like my articles. It`s weird, but I never thought I wrote good, but two other sites want me to write for them also.So I now write a monthly article on Dolfzine.com and I`ll be writing for Iron Life.com starting next month. I guess I must be doing something right!

Thanks Tim, yes I do live in Rochester. I am glad to hear you will be doing some writing on those sights. Looking forward to it.
I hope to be able to pick your and fellow board members brains sometimes. I have a million questions.
Keep up the good work Tim.

Rich,I`m no guru, but anytime I can be of help don`t hesitate to ask.I have learned a lttle bit over the years.I did the Rochester & Syracuse show`s this past June.I got a chance to meet Danny Padilla in Rochester,he was really a cool guy. I now live in a small town called Canton, kind of near Watertown, but closer to the woods!! The board has been a little slow, but things are picking up now that more people know we are here..

Tim, you mentioned the show in rochester and Syracuse. What are the names of them and are there any other shows around here you know about? My ultimate goal is to lift hard and heavy for the next 4 or 5 years and maybe enter a show. I am learning all the time. I will be alomst 40 by then, but I hear of guys older than that competing. Don't get me wrong, I have no grand illusions, I just love working out. Tell me if I am just fooling myself, or do they have novice divisions for older folks?
Thanks, Rich
