Well....my wife will have to limit her WO's for a bit.
While doing DEEP squats the other day, she was coming out of the hole, and tore an intercostal muscle.
Thought she broke a rib, because of her short torso. I thought her thick powerlifting belt got squeezed between her hip and floating ribs. Had our gym paramedic and physical therapist check it out, and they both came to the same conclusion.
Just rest.....(yea right!)
Her next comp is in November...she will attempt to set a new record for Deads for her weight class....280 lbs.

Wishing for a speedy recovery! It sucks when you have these little set backs, but often times we learn something new about ourselves.

That sucks...sorry to hear that she hurt herself. Give it rest, and hopefully she'll be back within no time flat.

Sorry to hear that Frank. Hope she heals up quickly! Try and make sure she doesn't do anything crazy before it's healed.

LOL! Gerry, thanks for asking about the little powerlifter! ...and you're right about the resting business too She's coming along...healing. We are leaning more towards thinking it may have been a rib, and not the muscle...either way, not much we can do but rest it. I will do my best to keep things stimulated and blood flow moving so that all processes come around! Keep in touch!
