Hey Tim Mark came to the conclusion that he was severely burned out. He talked it over with me. His strength was down and energy was very low. He had basically been dieting since December. SO we decided the best thing was to "live to fight another day." So we are targeting the upper ohio and pittsburgh next year. Now the first week off the diet his eight went from 200 to 220. Now he is eating good food about 3500 calories a day, and he weighs 208. I just talked to him and he said his legs look really good. We will be training on SUnday, so I will get a chance to look him over. I put together a good off season diet and training program for him. He should do some major damage next year.

I totally agree, the only problem I am struggling with is his dedication. I know that sounds weird, but I would really like for him to take some time off from the diet! Here is what I mean. He eats with the family for dinner, so whatever that is he eats. Stuffed peppers, whatever. But he loves keep track of his macros and weighing out the food. I want him to relax a little. You know if I say eat 1/2 a cup of oats I don't want him stressing over if he actually ate 1/2 a cup or 2/3's. But he loves the lifestyle. Basically I know that all the precise measuring he does with his food can lead to burnout, or it just may lead to a good natural healthy lifestyle. I would just hate for him to continue this burned out feeling. Ya know? Here is a pic of him 3 weeks out from the states. He had been dieting with 3 low days of 50 grams of carbs or less, then one high day of 400-500.

He looks great, Steve. Should both be proud! But too much competition could be a real burnout. Wise decision to target next year. With a step back, he can take two or three forward.

Quoted for truth! when I first started I was like bblah I'm young i can do three no problem... yeah right.. i felt SOOO burnt out it wasn't funny. I try my best now to do 1 maybe two shows a year. I did three last year because I been out for a year so I had some extra fuel in me haha.

Hey, that's a long time to diet. Sometiems I think that's the besst thing to do when it is your first show. You don't really know how INTENSE it is and how much it TAKES. I can't wait to see him kick it when he does.
