 Jesse, my son is leaving for Iraq today. He's been wanting to go and we've known about it for several months now but it doesn't make it any easier on ol dad! Let me tell ya! Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. He's in the Air Force and will be in northern Iraq maintaining an air field there. He should be back by the first of the year. No one in his unit has been deployed for extended periods of time. |

I'll add him to my prayer list, Joel. Have a couple other people I know there, and you can't stop thinking about them. God bless!!

Thanks guys, he had a long flight last night. They landed in Germany, I probably won't hear from him for a little while until he gets settled.

As a former soldier, my prayers and thoughts are with you and Jesse. Anytime my brothers-in-arms are deployed, I always say our paratrooper (airborne) prayer. God will not leave his side.

Hope you and your family are holding up, Joel. We say a prayer for all our overseas troops at the end of our church service, and rest assured that Jesse is included.

Thanks so much guys. I got a call from Jesse yesterday! He called me on a world phone, says he's doing fine and everything is ok where he's at although he can't talk about details, can't even say exactly where he's at!
He's living in a portable housing unit out in the desert somewhere. But he will be able to call and have e-mail access.
