...at the airport last night. He was on my flight back from LA. Came to town for a book-signing.
BIG guy (of course) but I mean he was taller than I thought... and I'm 6'2". Still looks huge across the chest and pipes and very youthful looking.
We chatted for a few minutes waiting for our luggage. He was pleasant enough, maybe a little shy? Anyway...

Cool stuff! It's good to hear that Big Lou seems to still be in great shape! Does someone know how old he is right now?

I met Lou 3 times. ALL 3 times, he was a complete as*. Sorry, but he was very rude and had that "holier than thou" attitude. But the real topper was when he was really mean to a little kid, who only wanted him to autograph his hulk action character. He is the only BB I've ever met, that i'll admit, I DON'T LIKE. LOU: Arnold beat ya. Get over it!

Yeah- I doubted whether I should even say hi given his rep but he was fine. Of course I wasn't asking for photos or autographs etc and he was in a setting where he probably didn't want to draw attention. I guess he's somewhat hard of hearing too? He's 56. I dunno how this photo is but I'd say he looks about like this:

Met Dennis Tinnerino the same day though, now he is a real nice guy and a gentleman!

Thats so strange. I mean, I am NICE to EVERYONE that apraoches me for my autograph.... That is funny because I am the same way.... I was actually approached the other day - about 2 weeks ago at a CiCi's pizza for my autograph. Absolute truth! It was a younger girl about 16 or so. I told her I was nobody but she insisted. And no joke I was on TV in gag bit for the Gold's gym I work at not a week later!!! Go figure. Sal

Ps I watched pumpingI ron and liked him better than Arnold, though Arnold was more defined in that contest- Lou was just massive and symmetrical

You may be right, on the other hand I think he's nice when its in his best interest. You're right about most of the champions being personable, they really should be. I mean who but a few of us hardcore bodybuilders even know who they are! They should be flattered that someone cares!

ALL of the other athletes have been VERY nice.
Gunther talked with me at length at my first contest back stage. Gave me a "high-five" and told me my routine was "cool!" Ronnie stayed longer than planned to autograph a pic for me. Jay and I had coffee at the North American. Bob Chic et.al had breakfast with us at the Alladin once. Roland Kickinger opened up his wallet to show us pictures of his dog "Adolph". Lisa Aukland always says hi, and responds in detail to every e-mail. Same with Lee, Danny, etc. ALL of them have been great.........all except....."The Hulk"

LOL! This was Pre-Avatar time!
One other thing......at the Olympia and the Arnold, the Industry Standard for an autoraphed pic was $10.00, inclding Mr. Oympia.
Except for Lou...his was $20.00, probably more for an autograph, and then he would try to haggle with you to buy his book too.
