Thanks guys. I have really missed this place. I've been spending some time on Eric's board, but mostly I've been on MD.com just because I can access it at school! This and Eric's sites are always my favorites though!

Congrats on expecting your first!
Out of all the things we talk about here, and all the motivation and discipline we apply to training/competing, and even with all the rewards that come from doing that thing which we take so much pride in because we know just how freakin HARD it is to do ....
None of that comes remotely close to what it is to have a child. Not even in the same ballpark.
You'll find out how true that is once your baby arrives. It's a total paradigm shift in the way you live. And it is SUCH a rush.
Congrats again. That is great news.

Hoss,
You really have a busy balance in your life. Having a baby is as uplifting as winning an overall, but don't let dust collect on this prize.

Thanks for all the great responses!
I'm looking forward to being a Dad. It's been a dream. I may only be 27, but I've wanted to be a father as long as I can remember. I think it's because I looked up to my father so much. I was lucky to have such a great set of parents that I think I want to do the same. I always said, if I can be 1/2 the father my dad was, I'll be a damned good one.
Another thing I'm really looking forward to is balancing fatherhood with being a husband, school teacher, coach and bodybuilder. I've alreayd planned that I'll have to take at leasat a year off of competition, but that doesn't mean I" wont' be in the gym! It will be a year of BUILDING and relearning my body so that when I do come back, I'm bigger and better than ever!

Kyle, that's fantastic! Congrats to your wife and you! I'm sure you had a great time during the conception And please, tell your boss (The school principal?) that you NEED access to WOTW… the board is more complete with you!
