Hi Everyone, I am still recovering from yesterday. Long day! As Tim posted, I placed 2nd in a competitive field of six in the 50+ division. The class was won by Charles Walker. Charles came in more conditioned than I have seen him before and he carries an envious amount of muscle. I have outplaced Charles previously, but yesterday was his day. I was too tired to wait around to see the scorecard or get after show judges' feedback. My ego would like to see a split decision, but I have no idea whether that is the case. My self critique is that my conditioning was just a hair off. Feedback from my posing mentor was that I forgot to pose my chest hard enough in several poses. Whether this would have made any difference in placement is a moot point. As soon as I get some pictures, I will post them. Next and last competition of the year is the USBF Baltimore Natural Pro-Am on Nov 10th. Neal Great job Neil !! #bowdown3ht# I too have competed against Charles Walker in last years NABBA Nationals...................beat him out for second place though I`m sure it was close. Nice guy with a great physique. Stay focused and do it up in Baltimore! #arockon6ha#

Proud of you, Neal. Looked terrific and you did great!
If you're turning 60, you should do Masters Nats over 60 in July. You could win a pro card. Won't be easy with guys like Robert Caltibiano and Jim Hemminger also turning 60, but given this conditioning you would be competitive for sure.

Thank you all for the encouragement and kind words. I look forward to Nov 10 th to complete the season. I am a bit envious of you normal food eaters! I have competed with Jimmy Hemminger several times at the Masters Nationals. He is a tough competitor and we have always had fun competing together. As for winning a class there, let alone the overall, that would be a wonderful challenge. I could gain 20lbs and weigh in with my clothes on and still make bantamwt-ha!! I have always done better in the bantamwt 40+ than the Ltwt 50+. Mo, I do believe my conditioning was a bit sharper when I competed Sept 8. I hope to be at that point on the 10th. Below is a photo from that show. Neal

Becky,
It was a great pleasure meeting you at the Yorton Cup . I am sorry we did not have as much time to talk as I would have liked. Maybe our paths will cross again before you return home. Are you staying with Alyssa?
