106-Year-Old Robs Cradle: Bride Is 81

BEIJING -- Call it a November-December romance.
A 106-year-old man and an 81-year-old woman are newlyweds in a city in southeastern China.
The official state news agency reported that the groom, Pan Xiting, met his bride, Chen Adi, eight years ago. She has taken care of him since then.
The couple is among the oldest to have ever married. But the Guinness record for the oldest couple still stands at a combined 190 years.
In 2002, a 96-year-old man married a woman who was 94 at a French nursing home. Their combined age is three years older than the Chinese newlyweds.

Can you imagine what they'll be like at 106?
(I know, it's really not that far away!)
They will probably still be on stage, posing away!

Tim and I are 108 combined! ;D If I get to 106, I'd still like to be involved in the sport behind the scenes. But never on stage doing a "walker most muscular". Last year, my friend's grandpa of 92 married an 81 year old lady. Her 60 year old daughter was matron of honor and her 86 year old brother gave her away. It was a nice ceremony and I liked the Geritol punch afterwards!  ;D |

Sounds like a good time Gerry! As a Deacon, I witnessed the marriage vows of a "young" couple. It was the second marriage for both of them. He was 75, and she was 70. She was a blushing bride. Her granddaughter was her maid of honor. The "Cana II" Marriage Preparation was fun. They actually were very embarrassed to talk about things like, living togehter, pre-marital sex (Yes, he brought up the topic of viagra!) They had a good laugh when we discussed them having kids, and rasing them catholic. They are now one of my best couples on a pre-cana team. They tell everyone that when they argue, they argue naked (visual here). He always tells them, "you're only as old as who how you feel! Same with us. Age is just a number. Most days I don't feel more than in my 20's, and normally act a bit younger than that too! (Usually gets me in a lot of trouble, but a good spanking never hurt anyone  ) ;D |

Frank, ever watch the Golden Girls? One of the best shows from the 80s and one of the first to show that older does not mean the end of life. These were four great ladies with busier sex lives than their kids!! I have them on DVD and love them even now (actually I identify with them more now! ;D )
So true, age is just a number. And we have a pre Cana couple working at our church over 60 who are requested by all the younger couples! We can still teach the whippersnappers a thing or two!!
