If you all remember, about 6 weeks ago I asked for a little advice on continuing my competition season and flying cross-country to NY to do another show. Well... the overwhelming response was "Do it!" So, I did. Last night I did the OCB New York State Natural in Syracuse. First off, my compliments to the show promoter, Mike Halsey, and the judging panel led by Sully. Huge show, well run, fun, lot's of great people. They made my trip a great experience.
As for how I did. One of my goals was to really see how far I could take my conditioning. I'd been working with a diet coach (Dr. Joe) for only 3 weeks before the last show and saw what he did for me in that short time so I knew we could push it further. What we accomplished blows my mind! Freaky! Striated glutes, veins on top of veins, no fat left in the low back which is where I tend to store it. Oh, and the show...
First place Masters 40+ First place Men's Light Heavyweight and... Men's Overall Bodybuilding Champion!
I don't know if I'll need the airplane to get home right now as I am flying high! I am now also an IFPA Pro Bodybuilder!
Thank you to all here for the encouragement and PMs to see how I was doing over the last month; I've popped in to read how people are doing but have been busy so haven't been posting much. You folks are motivating and supportive and it's an honor to be a part of this board. Now, time to start packing and figure out how to get all this stuff home; one of the prizes was a 25lb bucket of protein!

Bob,
Congratulations. I have heard that Mike Halsey puts on a great show. I know you must have had a lot of high level competition. This of course makes the win even sweeter. Now that you have your IFPA pro card, do you think you might do the Yorton cup next year? Too early to tell at this point, probably.
Once again. Congratulations on you accomplishment.
