Just got of the horn with Joel. He sounds pretty confident about the masters class, although he not counting his chickens just yet. He says there is some good competition. He is unsure about the open class. There is a monster there that seems to have that one all wrapped up. We all know that Joel will hold his own though. I am sure he will place well. From the sounds of it, he must be a total FREAK by now. Hope all this looooooong, hard dieting pays off!!! Ive only spoken to Joel online and on the phone, but I feel as though he is one heck of a nice guy and a TRUE rolemodel for the rest of us!

I'm back guys! Like Randy already posted I got 2nd in the masters division. It was a very competitive class, I felt like I had a legitimate shot at winning it and so did a lot of other people that I talked to after the pre judging! But thats the way it goes!
I was in the best shape of my life, I don't think I could have done anything more to prepare for this one! I don't think there's any pictures posted online yet. Rick Lohre was the photographer for the show.
The guy who won the over 40 masters class also won the light heavy class where I placed 4'th. It was a very competitive contest and they worked us hard during the pre judging! My legs are sore today!
I'll get some pictures posted as soon as I can.
Oh yeah, the guy who won the overall, can't think of his name right now is going to be in the NPC nationals in Dallas next week. This guy is massive! He's about 6'1" 240lbs with a small waist and fantastic proportions, heck of a nice guy too! I really hope he gets his pro card next week, he is a real model of where pro bodybuilding needs to get back to!
Dave Henry was one of the guest posers, man this guy is short! Really great physique though.
The show wasn't over until late as usual. We ended up eating at TGI Fridays at about 12:00am last night, man I was stuffed! Went to IHOP this morning and stuffed myself again! ;D

Very good results Joel… but what's in my opinion an even biggest reward, is knowing that you were in the best shape of your life! I have been extremely impressed by your last set of pics… so I cant wait to see how you were looking for this show!
So what's next Joel?

Thanks, to all of you! I feel blessed to have such a supportive group of people like you!
I'm finished competing this year. My goal is to stay on track and make some improvements for next year! Staying lean really paid off this year so now I'm going to try to maximize my diet to gain lean mass and stay lean this off season.
Again thanks to all of you for being such a great inspiration and motivating me to be my best this year!
I'll post some pics as soon as they come available. I don't think anyone has them on line yet.
