For those of you who know Rick, I recieved this e-mail regarding his heart attack.
Rick sponsors the Upper Ohio Valley Contest, and is a great supporter of bodybuiding.
Please keep him, and his family in yout thoughts.
Frank
Hello Everyone....
This is Laura, Rick's wife..(technically his ex-wife but we live together) long story, so much easier just to say his wife.
I know Rick has many, many good friends and people he keeps in touch with so I wanted to let you all know that if you have been writing or calling and he hasn't returned your messages it's not because he is being rude to anyone.
It's hard to imagine, but Rick had a heart attack Monday morning. He had to have bypass surgery today. Actually they had to do 6 bypasses...I never even knew you could have that many. He is in recovery as I write this and all went very well.
He will be moved to the third floor of Wheeling Medical Park hospital probably tomorrow afternoon.
Although Rick is basically very healthy and active and eats very well, genetics were against him as his Father had the same thing so I guess it was inevitable, although noone expected it at his age.
He was the youngest person in ICU, they say the average age for this is almost 20 yrs. older.
Well, I just thought I would let you all know in case he had something he was supposed to do for you or get back to you on, which he will do I know when he get's home in about 4 or 5 days.
I apologize for the mass e-mail, but it seemed the quickest and easiest way to get in touch with people.
Thank you,
Laura
