Hoopie's comment in "Happy Easter" made me think this might be a good topic, especially with the upcoming holiday. Q: How do you "COPE" (deal with, etc.) your BB/PL Diet during a holiday? (keep to the diet, forget the diet and celebrate, modify the diet, etc?) I "normally" still try to eat clean, but won't deny myself the indulgence of a good piece of pie (Gotta make life worth livin' ! ) How about you?

It really depends- 1)are we with family or just ourselves? 2) what are my goals that week-can I really afford a day off the wagon if it's been a bad week? 3) how important is it to my wife? I don't want to leave her on her own.
But we make some healthier choices more frequently these days and I never gorge anymore- more just because I don't like feeling like crap for a day anymore.

Amen, I indulge without gorging. Moderation is the key but do not deny yourself a cheat , especially if the week was good. We all deserve it.
LOL, Vince! Love the Reese's Easter eggs also!

Good question Frank!
When I'm not in contest preps mode, I dont mind eating what I feel like during a special occasion as long as eating junk or eating too much doesnt become a routine! It wont hurt someone in his attempt to reach a good shape if eating clean is what this person does on a regular basis! So enjoying the pleasure of foods once or twice a week (1 or 2 meals, not DAYS :-) ) is not a bad thing!
At the opposite, when I'm pre-contest and try to reach an extreme condition, I'm not cheating at all. And it's not that much of a sacrifice because the pleasure I have knowing I did everything I can and that I'm at my best possible on stage (not necesseraly the best on stage, but the best I CAN be) is bigger than the pleasure I would have cheating on these occasions. So I try to put people around me at ease telling them not to worry about me because it's a deliberated choice :-) I'm happy like this… so I also hope they are going to be happy enjoying this great meal in my face! :-)

I make that holiday day when I know there will be lots of food and socializing as my cheat day. ;D
Then back to eating clean.
