Max, Fat does not flex it simply moves with the contracting muscle. Having marbelized fat with the muscle is probably not the best thing, but I`m sure it wil make measurements that much bigger,which would actually mean very little as it`s not all muscle.
Your aim ,even with bulking up should be to increase muscle size while adding as little fat as possible in my opinion.Adding some bodyfat while bulking up is to be expected ,and usually inevitable if you are trying to take your physique to another level but when cutting up afterwards the true gain of increased muscle mass is really all that matters.
I beleive to get bigger after training for a long time that you have to gain some fat but I also think the mirror should always be your guide to seeing if it is getting out of hand.
Any fast increase in bodyweight must be questioned,is it fat,muscxle,or water weight ,or a combination of the three.It is usually the latter,ie. all three.
