Yeah right! They`ll put any bullsh*t in magazines today to increase sales.If it really is his diet,all I gotta say is I wish I could look like him and eat this crap. ;D Not too healthy though.

I wouldnt doubt it, i train a guy who got 3rd at the nationals and he can get away with murder. Some people just have metabolisms that are out of control.

Sadly enough ,I gotta agree with you.I know guy`s who have absolutely no clue when it comes to diet and nutrition and they look great.No training knowledge either.Damn I hate those guy`s! ;D I di like the way Johnnie has the proper ratio of glazed and chocolate donuts scientifically balanced.He musta got lucky!! ;D ;D

I hate it when people are ripped....and eating 3 meals a day..when ever they wanted....and even eating out and stuff. Edit: It's also safe to assume that drugs play a large role in his physique - even moreso than genetics.

What makes that muscle different from muscle from "clean" food? (I know I'm using terms "clean" and "unclean" even though there is not much relevance to their definitions, but it's the best way I could think to raise the question.)

It would presume that a calorie is a calorie... which is a bit of a misnomer. "Calorie" is a measurement of (potential) ENERGY and NOT a measurement of food content. Sooooo many people just don't get that. A calorie is a calorie in terms of ENERGY, yes. However, the issue isn't energy; the issue is the building materials that you are providing your body. Muscle is built when the proper materials are provided at the appropriate time. Plain and simple. One can feed the body what's conducive to muscle production or not... simple. You don't need to be a wizard to figure that out. Tim... isn't it amazing what some can eat if they sprinkle DNP directly on their food? Naturally, the side-effects of such pesticides are... well, just plain nasty. T

Merlin did you stop to think that Max`s post about earning his muscle may have been in fact directed about the drugs you mentioned in your above post and not the "unclean" food?
Also,why the fixation over what Max`s diet look`s like,obviously he`s happy eating this way, and is satisfied with his results.
I do agree that a little McDonalds type food isn`t going to kill him or anyone else,as long if it doesn`t interfere with their goals,ie. fat loss diet etc., but if he doesn`t want to eat it,the world will still turn,and it`s entirely his decision.

I actually didn't even think that he may be talking about anabolics since they hadn't been mentioned anywhere in this thread.
And my point wasn't about basic understanding of calories. The way I interpretted Mike's post was, all else being the same, 2 diets - one with clean food, one with dirty food - same amount of muscle gained...why would the person with the clean diet deserve his muscle more than the person with the dirty diet?

So do I Layne,and I`1m one dedicated SOB when it comes to dieting.
I do not deviate and do not beleive in cheat meals until I`m at least down to 5% BF.
