- get that 6 pack I so desire - after I get cut, get my deadlift to 450lbs (personal best was 405lbs which I did last year @ 170lbs). - overhead press my bodyweight for reps
I hope to do all this by the end of the year. It won't be easy, but I can do it. I figure I'll get trimmed down to where I'm happy in another couple months. Then I will focus on pure power and get that deadlift back into the 400s, and work on overhead strength. Also I need to work on my squat (it's pathetic) and biceps.

I`m trying to add about 10 pounds or more to my frame, bring up my weak points ,and regain my power, after a long year of dieting for contests, and setbacks because of my car breaking down.
Long term right now, is to do well in next years contests, and culminate it by placing in the NPC Master`s National`s again, but this time in the over 50 class.
Also, would like to write articles for the mags, as well as a few more websites, but I have to try to improve my writing skills or lack thereof! ;D
I`m presently working hard to aceive or surpass these goals.

- to get back into 36 jeans. When I get there I'll look at 34's.
- to be happy and anxious to take off my shirt in public (instead of ashamed)

Tim, you're such a goal oriented person! That's great. You need something to drive you. Good luck in everything and it would be great to see you WIN all those shows and start writing for the magazines. I too am very goal oriented and intrsinsically motivated. My goals are:
1) I want to compete this fall and place top 5 in a novice division. 2) I would like to take the winter off and add 5-10 pounds of quality mass and then compete in the Mr. Ohio or another competition next Spring (I believe the Natural Northern is around this time) 3) I eventually want to compete as a middle weight and hopefully someday as a natural light-heavy weight. 4) I want to start an internet driven personal training/nutrition service that works with athletes and anyone else looking for improving their life and lifestyle. 5) Open a Sports Complex w/ a baseball/softball school, volleyball, basketball, and any other sport people need help with. Along w/, a weight room and personal training/diet/nutrition services. Also, I would like to have message, aerobics, yoga and any other genre w/in the fintess industry.
What do you guys think? There are more obviously. I've already written a Complete Baseball Conditioning book (not published) and I'd love to continue writing and do it professionaly for this industry. Possibly maybe even model for magazines, if I can establish "THAT" physique!

Im 5'8" and I compete at around 190ish. My body has tkaen a beating over the last 3 years with 3 back surgeries and 5 contests. I am currently trying to get as big as I can regardless of fat as I can drop 70lbs with my eyes closed. I am currently 252lbs and wouldnt mind seeing 280+. Ive been 272 before. The 252 I am at now in really odd as I have never carried this kind of quality at 220 let alone any higher. Im scared and happy.

Hi all, I just achived one of my goals; I got a six pack. It took about 12 weeks of serious dieting, dieting which was made easier by some of the tips I have read at iron age and here. It was very difficult, heck, it was probably one of the most difficult things I have ever done. It takes a will-power I didn't think I had. My new goal is to be able to rep two 90 pound dumbells 10 times with "perfect" form without breaking a serious sweat. I have 8 months to achieve that. I think I can do it

Goals....ugh....I have a love/hate thing with setting goals. I need them to train and to just keep on going through life. But they scare me too. So many times something beyond my control, like health, steps in and sabatoges my goals. So when I set one, I feel like there must be a time bomb waiting to go off. Hard to explain.
Anyway, Masters Nationals next year for sure. Maybe another regional one end of July. Thinking about buying an air brush tanning system and travel to shows tanning people. Ski, can you just see me spraying naked people for their shows???LOL.
I'll be on a female bodybuilding website soon and writing articles for them. They actually pay, which is unusual. Looking forward to that.
Other than that, one day at a time.

Peggy, train hard and stay safe and I`ll see you in Pittsburgh next July, and no I can`t imagine you doing a thing like that!! Orion,Welcome to the board, and congrats on your acheiving your goal. One thing I like about goals is that when you reach one you get to set some more. You can never be satisfied with your progress, or you`re doomed in this lifestyle.

My goal for the rest of 2004 is very simple: continue gaining muscle mass. I am currently 235.5 pounds. In the past 6 weeks I gained a total of 16.5 pounds. I have 3 more such cycles for the rest of this year. If I can continue at this same rate, I would end up at around 285 pounds. My goal is to be at 220 lean body weight (LBW). Right now it is around 190, so I think I can reach my goal.
I posted my latest pictures on MilosSarcev.com today. I also posted a picture of my true "starting point" where I was around 175 pounds in 1996. So far I have gained a total of 60.5 pounds. Fo me that is amazing, considering I always thought I was a hardgainer and believed I could never make it as a bodybuilder.
My second goal is to begin 2005 with bringing up the remaining weak points, and by late spring begin cutting up for my first contest. That will mean I will be 43 and competing in the Masters in the heavyweight class. If for some reason I am not ready to hit the stage in late summer 2005, I still want to to go through with the contest dieting and be ready for a professional photo shoot, in which I would anticipate being in the best and leanest shape of my life.
Right now, I know nothing of competing, the contest dieting phase or even posing for the matter, but that is not important right now. Gaining the size and bringing up my weakest points is top priority and will take me the rest of 2004 and half of 2005 to accomplish.

My goals include a variety of things, but the biggest and ongoing is balancing my life in all parts: family, music, exercise, and FUN. The more training I do and more in sahpe I get, it clears my mind more and I feel more in tune and balanced! Some short terms are getting my six-pack abs and finishing my CD (album) by mid July. Finding alternative work options that make me happier and allow more time to family. Longer term...I would like to get my wife more active and reaping the benefits I have gained from training....That could be a tough one! ;-)
Good luck to everyone! And keep posting when you hit goals or have new ones to attain! Ian
