On Monday don`t foget to say a prayer of thanks for all the men and women serving in the armed forces,or the people who fought and died, to preserve our freedom,and make this country the greatest place to live in the whole world .

Amen, Tim. Our church has a memorial service every year and it is always a nice time to reflect.
We must never take for granted what we have or the sacrifices our troops have made to protect that.

A guy on another board posted an aerial shot of the USS Arizona memorial at Pearl Harbor. I didnt' realize that you can still see her on the bottom beneath the memorial.

one of the greatest persons I have ever met was in world war 2 and he knew I am no nangel so he told me a bunch of "adult" stories...he was the nicest guy but also a realist and I consider him and his wife great friends despite the fact they were almost fifty years older than me...I will tell you guys trhe story when I have more time....everything from his gay ship captan to Ed getting court martialed...a great guy who everybody loved.
