Recently came across a good buy at the store for some powdered skim milk, which looked like a good source for protein at a great price. I was thinking of adding it with my normal whey powder to make it go a little further, but I remembered some threads about limiting dairy intake. I am always fighting to loose or keep off that little extra bit around the middle, so I do not want to add to the problem. Any thoughts ?

Michael, I use it when trying to add size and mix it with raw eggs and other foods.
The only drawback is that dairy foods contain milk sugar(lactose) and are not usually used by most when trying to get lean,unless you have a very fast metabolism like some do that can stay lean while eating anything.
I hate those people!! ;D
Most bodybuilders say they(dairy foods) smooth you out and I agree.
Occasional use, in limited quantities, might not be too bad if you are already fairly lean.

Have seen milk (but not powdered) with reduced lactose. Many are lactose intolerant. My cousin swears by it.
A lowfat version of that might be useful on occasion.

i use lactaid. it is pretty good stuff and i dont get the farts nearly as bad as regular milk. the non fat stuff is ok, but has 12g of sugar per serving and i usually have anywhere between 12 and 16oz at a time.
