I have two very controversial questions about creatine.
Does caffiene rid creatine from body? even if you drink alot of water to comensate the loss?
Does creatine and glutamine together not mix well due to coompetition for receptors?
if you have any scientific data that I can read that would be great!

Brandon: I dug up some studies, but first a warning: **Be wary of relying on studies** For example most studies (including the ones i have listed) do not carry out studies on weight training individuals - most studies(including the ones i listed) use average men. Secondly, these studies had 10 and 9 men respectively. That is a very low number of observations on which to base a conclusion. Not sure if i'd call it controversial.
Keep in mind that a 20% difference is pretty much negligble. - You will likely never be able to detect a difference in you training between using creatine and using creatine and drinking coffee.
Assuming you are eating a lot of meat, you are probably getting more than enough creatine anyways.

Chris....do you know if Raw Salmon or Tuna has any good amount of creatine in it. I heard anything raw has good creatine in it.
Or is any kind of meat even Bivalves (clams,etc.) have creatine in it?
See i don't supplement creatine..i try to get it from food such as beef and buffalo instead...

Glutamine and Creatine act synergistically, that is they complement each other. Over 60 to 70% of protein is in the skeletal muscles. 61% of your skeletal muscle is glutamine. 19% of glutamine is nitrogen. Glutamine is the primary transporter of nitrogen into your muscle cells. When you have proper nitrogen balance, muscle is built versus destroyed. Glutamine is a nitrogen transporter and Creatine enhances nitrogen retention. I don't see Creatine and Glutamine figting against each for absorption. Creatine is easily absorbed into the muscles cells and both glutamine and creatine act together to promote muscle growth and muscle repair: www.bodybuilding.com/store/gat/lglut.htmlI hear people stating that creatine and glutamine should not be taken together. I hear people stating that creatine and glutamine should not be taken together. I have not found any scientific data supporting this as fact. There are many products from reputable companies that combine both creatine and glutamine. I personally take creatine and glutamine seperately... My 2 cents worth from a newbie. I read somewhere that glutamine shoud be taken right before a workout and creatine right after a workout.
