You're bulking? If the results are fine and the weighing scale is bumping up nicely, i'd suggest against it. But remember going up weight-wise ain't mean all muscle yeah. Watch the fat.

;D Its going up..but eventually the calorie i'm at will become my maintenance...so i'm just preparing.. Everyweek i'm upping about 0.8lb i believe...or maybe 0.5..not sure..but my strength has increased..and so has my energy.

That's good.. no point fixing something thats not broken. Your not that heavy, so 100 MAY be too much. But again, if fat stores are not that obvious during your bulk, go ahead and bump the carbs and watch yourself grow like a weed!

O yea..!!
300lbs!! 8% bodyfat!!! ;D
whoops...wrong measurement for the dex...
hmmm i got to figure out how many spoons equal 40g..the density of dex is a little different it seems..so converting to tablespoons is a bit hard.
4g (1.25tsp) 15cal 4 carb.

Sorry Max, I'd like to offer advice but I'm not sure on the volume of dextrose required. Sound REALLY high though.
If I'm gonna' bother eating sugar, I ain't wasting it on my shake, LOL, I'm going for THE CAKE!!

hmm...its really confusing...I tried using fitday...for that Dextrose thing.... Supplement Facts: Serving Size: 4 Grams (1.25 tsp) Servings Per Container: 227 Amount Per Serving: Calories 15 Calories from fat 0 Total fat 0 g 0% Total Carbohydrate 4 g 1% Sugars 4 g Sodium 0 mg 0% Protein 0 g Obviously its GRAM for GRAM. But then the DENSITY matter is different when put on SPOONS> Generally 1 teaspoon is 5g in U.S. But the top says 1.25teaspoon equals 4g.. So i punched in the calculations in fitday...one in GRAMS Which didn't let me choose in TABLESPOONS afterwards... and one in the 1.25 teaspoon....which i'm not sure is correct or not... I was hoping CHRISC could help...since he is really good at this kind of calculation. Gram dex = gram of carb...but in spoons it's different..so i'm not sure how i should measure it... I need 160 or so cals worth or 40g of DEX..

grams are a weight measurement and teaspoon/tablespoon are volume measurements...
There is 15 calories in 1.25 teaspoons.
So you would need 10.666666 (just say 10 and 3/4) teaspoons to make up 160 calories... ridiculously high! Why not just eat a frickin' chocolate bar, LOL!! Man, I keep saying, your eating SUGAR... 160 calories of sugar is almost equal to TWO FULL MARS BARS!!!!
Would you sit down and eat a Mars bar? Well, putting that much dex in your drink is pretty close to eating TWO (180 cals).

Tim told me what i needed to hear...1 Tbsp of dex has "about" 15grams of dex...so i'll go with what he says...i'm downing a shake with 3 TBSP so 180cal and about 40-45grams of carb. I trust tim.

Max: I'm glad to see that grad school was good for something! About the dextrose, Troy is just trying to point out thats a lot of sugar. Would you drink a can of coke post workout? Cos thats exactly what you're doing with all that dextrose. If you are intent on consuming all that sugar, Coke probably tastes much better than dextrose anyways...
