www.trueprotein.comI know this link was posted in the past.. But i'm still curious...what is a good blend of protein? I'm stuck with ON whey...and i definitely trust their company. But it would also be interesting to make my very own blend of protein. Do any of you guys have any idea? I know Jaxon has his own blend..I think..or i could of heard wrong.

I've made my own blends a few times, from TP as well as other customizing companies. I normally make something a little different each time, because you don't want your body getting used to each powders amino acid profile. For instance, one order might be like:
40% Casein 20% Whey Isolate 10% Beef Plasma 15% Milk Isolate (I pretty sure that's different than the above casein, memory is a bit fuzzy now) 15% whey concentrate
Then the next order might be:
45% Casein 25% Milk Isolate 10% Micellar Casein 20% Whey Isolate
Just examples. What is your main use for them? Night time protein before bed? Post workout? Or maybe just a good mid-day shake in between meals?

Well ..i know Micellar casein is pretty good night time protein...and whey isolate is pretty good for pwo or in the AMS.
Just not sure what should actually go in the mix...as in ...there are things such as microfiltration...ion...whatever..
That stuff confuse me.

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it Max. Just get it in you. Then the next time get a different mix. Each blend will have it's purpose. Some better than others. But for the most part, I don't think it matters as to what your taking in. A calorie is a calorie. If you eat 3500 calories of milk protein, your body will put on a pound of weight. If you eat 3500 calories of 45% milk protein, 25% whey and 30% micellar casein, your body will still put on that same pound as before. I've taken the simplistic approach the last 2 year or so, and it's really simple. Just eat. Don't worry about holding water from eating too much beef/chicken or whatever. Just eat. If you want to gain weight, add a bit more. Lose wieght? Take a little out and increase your activity.
A good thing to do, since you like ON protein, go to their site. Look up the ingrediants and then make a similar blend at TP.com The ratios won't be exact, but again, the next mix you'll have a chance to change it. No such things as the perfect protein mix, or the perfect workout either. Did I go off on a tangent there or what!

One of my favorite powders I made went like this: I ordered three bags of powder, one Egg protein, one Milk and one micellar. I'd then mix a different combo each time. I'd do 2 scoops egg and one micellar (each scoop was 1/2cp). My favorite was 2 scoops eggs and one scoop milk. Anything with milk and/or egg protein, you cannot go wrong. I'd highly suggest using those as the base of your mix then add whey/micellar/etc.... in on top of those.
