Hi guys. I love to add a couple scoops of chocolate protein powder to my oatmeal. I always do it after its cooked and cools a little. Will the heat breakdown any protein?

I do that everyday, at least once a day...my favorite protein to use is IDS's vanilla cinnamon...YUM!

That is my preworkout meal. An 1hour and half before training I have 1/2 - 1 cup of oatmeal and a few scoops of protein powder with some glutamine thrown in for good measure.
First I heat the oatmeal. I add a little more water than normal. Then when the oatmeal is done I stir in the protein powder along with the glutamine. The protein powder sucks the excess water up.

Yeah, I put in my protein powder after microwaving the oatmeal too. It seems like the protein powder gets all clumpy and gross when it's heated.
