Good article...thats one thing about the net. There is a ton of good free info around for those are willing to look. I wish I had known that when I first started lifting.

thanks bro,I`m glad you liked it.
You`re right, when I first started training I trained 6 days a week, every bodypart twice for 20-25 sets ,because that`s what Sergio and Arnold did.
I weighed 98 pounds and gained zippo!

nice artilcle! Do you think doing light cardio for 20-30 min after your workouts is good for leaning up?

Just wanted to say good informative article. The wrap on carb right now can go to far for some that are going to extremes. I've noticed in my own diet, what you have all talked about and proven here, stay away from those junk carb, do HIIT and you WILL notice a difference in body fat. But you must be consistent. Something else I wanted to add (for those interested) is the carb problems for those that like to drink alcohol (one in particualr beer or ales) If you are wanting to cut fat you really need to cut alcohol if you consume in excess at all. One thing that has been proven is the fact that when you eat and then drink...the alcohol will be processed before the fat in the food you ate...therefore making it harder to loose fat. But let me warn you that when you do quit drinking or make it less frequent to train, your body is still going to crave carbs, bad! Because the alcohol synthesizes to carbs and raise blood sugar=carbs) YOu drink 3 or 4 or more a nigtht (or even a balls-to-the-wall drinking fest weekend) and then take that away and train hard....your body feels like it has no energy wahtsoever and craves carbs. Eventually that need goes away. It takes time but is well worth it in the battle of carbs and fat. Sure no reason you can't have a few here and there, but remember what it costs you in trying to lose fat. Tim, I know this was probably not in line with your article per se, but it is something that I have dealt with myself and thought others might be interested. Especially if they can't find muscle gains or fat loses, but they are "life of the party" Keep on rockin' Ian

Good info Ian,thanks for sharing . That`s not why I quit drinking by a longshot, but very useful to know for those who do imbibe occasionally, and are trying to lose bodyfat.
