Just wondering do any of you drink liquid egg whites?
I am not speaking of drinking RAW eggwhite, just the Pasteurized liquid form, wich is supposedly Salmonella free and has been avidin neutralized.
The reason I ask is that I eat alot of eggwhites, and to tell you the truth unless I am extremely hungry, I would rather just drink the damned things, as to go through all the mess of cooking/clean-up.
Do you guys know if the avidin is actually neutralized? As I don't like the idea of stripping biotin from my body.

I see nothing wrong with drinking them. If you are worried about a biotin deficiency,just add one yolk and take a B-Complex tab.

I drink liquid egg whites. Mosts sites discussing avidin are nutritional supplement sites which makes their info questionable but if you search for pasteurization and avidin it appears that the neutralization is taught in food sci courses and that's good enough for me

Like you said, it's pasteurized... not a problem. I just can't stand it ;D
Little story: Last year I was contest dieting and going through some cravings... it dawned on me that egg whites whip up nicely (i.e. merengue)... so I got out the food processor and whipped up my 12 or 16 egg whites with some nutrasweet and a dash of vanilla extract.
Actually tasted pretty good. I was so proud of myself... I grabbed a spoon and just "chowed down" on the stuff without even bothering to remove it from the food processor container... it pretty much tasted JUST like whipped cream... for a while, anyway. As I was eating away, I noticed it started tasting salty instead of sweet... and my stomach started to cramp... I pushed the container away (it's clear, of course)... and I realized that without sugar (I mean REAL sugar), whipped egg whites don't "hold"... in other words, the bottom half had turned back to egg whites... and I was eating it... EEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWW!! I almost barfed. Now I gag at the thought (no exaggerations either).

I used to drink the raw egg whites from cartons all the time for breakfast. But the gas...

I will sometimes use them instead of water in my protein shakes.

Bodyfx, That is what all the Pros and Fitness mamas do with my egg whites!!! I love throwin em over cooked lean turkey meat!! and just throw em in the micro. Peace.

To bump an old thread...... Hey Troyster, why not just go back and whip it periodically? Like, whip and eat, then 5min or so later, whip again, and in another 5min (if it's still there and not all gone) whip again to finish it off. Sounds like a tasty plan to try, if you can keep it as a merengue. Well, that's a good idea and you're right, as long as it stays merengue it tastes heavenly... unfortunately, I'm simply "cured" of ever eating my whites raw again, LMAO!!!! T

Drink liquid egg, i feel bad just to think about it (Maybe Lana's egg white could be good enough but she dont sends them in canada ) So i prefer to cook them... Mo
