i am just getting back into dieting and working out hard and am currently using designer protein for my protein shakes. is this still a top notch/quality protein or is there something new out that is better, something low in carbs and sugar?

I feel Propeptide by Dorian Yates Approved is one of the best on the market. It's a bit pricey though.

If I recall correctly,Designer has around 15 grams per sccop of protein.......that sucks in my opinion!!
I go with Pro-Lab or Optimum Nutrition.......right now I have GNC Whey 22 grams per scoop......don`t laugh,it`s all I can get up here.
Actually I like it quite a bit!

Actually I like it quite a bit! the scoop is smaller, the % of protein is very similar to optimum. As far as quality and purity goes; Primaforce's substance WPI: no fat, 0-1g of carbs, no lactose, pure whey protein isolate... and by far the best tasting powder i've ever used. -Layne

not really, it's a whey protein concentrate, and a whey protein isolate is probably your highest quality source There is something to be said for concentrates as well, however...as well as egg albumin and micellar casein.

I like the isolate stuff thats no carb no fat and NO LACTOSE also no sugar so just use dextrose in it and flavor with extract, i like banana. And supplement Direct has about the best pricing around.
