Anyone take creatine while dieting? I've always been against it because of its water retaining abilities. I just read that there is growing evidence that taking creatine can help speed fat loss, good for your heart, and lower choloesterol levels. It may also help play a role in preventing diseases.

I always use creatine while dieting. Too many benefits not to take it, and no good reason not to take it. Water has nothing to do with fat loss, and can always be taken care of in a few days.

I'm thinking of trying Optimum Nutrition's Adenergy Stack. Looks great with 10g creatine per serving.

I've always used creatine while cutting as well...Personally, I don't find I retain much water while on it, plus it helps with my strength/endurance while I'm low on calories...
Besides...you'll lose the extra water once you stop the creatine anyways...

I'm thinking about starting Creatine, too. I went to my favorite nutrition store and I asked about their creatine and the guy there recommended one over the other because one brand quote, "makes you piss razorblades." Do some brands do this for real, and why?

I bought a huge tub of Cell-tech..Lets see what happens? Cell Tech is not a great creatine to use for cutting as there is a ton of sugar in there!

,,,,,,, recommended one over the other because one brand quote, "makes you piss razorblades." Do some brands do this for real, and why? Never heard of this myself. I'd say that the guy was trying to promote the company/store product over the better one. Was it a GNC by chance? I think as long as you stick with top brands (Champion, VPX, Dorian Yates, Optimum etc....) you'll be fine. I totally agree with Bodyfx with the Cell Tech for dieting-bulking as well. Waaay too much sugar.
