How many carbs do you eat? Off season? Pre contest? Lowest in the Pre-contest diet: weekly average of 110g to 130g ( the lowest day can be 80g) Highest on the Off season diet: Weekly average of 500g (the highest day can be 650g) but i'm planning on eating more in this years Off-season… we'll see, but i thing that 600g can be a interesting number! Always (90% of the time) from clean (low in fat or simple sugar) sources. The important thing for me is to constantly-slowly-regularly increase (or decrease) the amouth every week if my weight stagnate.

Huuum good question… but maybe...: - I ALWAYS keep a very low fat diet (approx 35g) - Fast metabolism… so at the opposite it's also difficult to add muscle mass - 650 is not an average…. 500g is. So if i eat 650 i will maybe eat 450g the day after! (And 500g is THE highest average of the Off season diet… so maybe i DO add fat during those last weeks of off-season) For now… 2 1/2 months after my last contest my average is 330g of protein and 450g of carbs. I'll continu to increase that average with the same "protein-carbs" ratio until the end of december. And i know i'll add a bit of fat while adding muscle mass… but if i can still see minimum of abs, i think that it worth it! In off season i'd prefer eat more than not enough (but still eating clean)! What do you think of this?

Looks like a solid plan to me, but why soo low on the fats. I like to keep it at 20% of cals. I dont think I can go too much past 350 grams of carbs per day without blowing up. Although I am incorporating cardio more now so we'll see. Maybe I can go higher.

You can't go too much past 350g of carbs? Randy, do you gain at least 1 lbs every two weeks? If not…in my mind, dont worry about adding fat and increase those calories! If you do add bodyweight on a regular basis, like you said, just wait until you stagnate!

A newbie with tree trunk legs like yours… i cant believe this ;D 7h00 (at home) - cerea1s with skim milk (2 or 3 bowls)..….20 protein 110 carbs - Whey shake …………………………40 protein 0 carbs 10h00 (at my job) - Cheese 4% fat …………………..20 protein 0 carbs - yogourt……………………………..15 protein 25 carbs 12h00 (at my job) - 1 1/2 chicken breast ……………. 60 protein 0 carbs - Rice or oatmeal ………………………..0 protein 70 carbs 3h00 (at my job) - Whey Shake + almonds…………………….... 35 protein 5 carbs 4h45 (at my job) - 1 1/2 Chicken breast……………….60 protein 0 carbs - Brown rice 1 1/3 cup ……………….0 protein 70 carbs - Fruits ………………………………..0 protein 20 carbs 5h45 TRAINING 7h30 (at the gym) - whey shake…………………………..60 protein 0 carbs - Gatorade powder………………………0 protein 80 carbs 8h30 (in front of my computer on WOTW) - 4% cheese or chicken breast with cereals bowl……………………….30 protein 50 carbs 22h00 ( at home) - White eggs OR red meat OR egg Shake… 30 protein 0 carbs Total………………………. 370 protein 430 carbs

But the second worst things are the grocery bills ;D Every Sunday, my girlfriend and i spend approx 200$ at the grocery + i eat 3 or 4 meals every week at the restaurant ( 70$) + i spend 100$ every 2 weeks in protein powder and protein bars So… sometime i wonder if i should stop investing all this precious money in food and start to keep it for a house, a car, investments, etc. But hey… bodybuilding is not an option for me right now… this IS me… it drives me: I thing about it in my car, at the office, in my shower, etc…. So until i have kids and others obligations that will change my priorities, i think i'll continu…

Chicken, Lean beef, tuna, fish, More chicken. Did I mention chicken?

Thanks for being so open, Mo! I appreciate the detailed response.. Yeah, kids change the picture a LOT, especially if your wife works only part-time, like mine, but the sacrifice is well worth it... They provide some entertainment at times that NO MONEY can buy.. For example, the other day, my 3yr old daughter came up to me extremely excited, put her hands on her waist & said "Hey Dad, check out my LAPS(she meant LATS)!! My son, on the other hand, is 19months old & has a limited vocabulary, but it doesn't stop him from running around naked before his bath, grabbing his crotch & saying, "package... package"... I'll have to post a pic of them & my wife one of these days...
