Well. Just lowered my carbs today to near ZERO. I was slowely lowering them and getting leaner. Now its time to step on the gass. I am sick of waiting!! Right Tim? I am using a higher fat approach which has worked wonders for me in the past.

Sounds good Randy.............in my humble opinion,do not do more than 3 days at zero carbs.
After hitting zero for 3 days,slowly increase,but stay low,ie.50-100,and go a bit higher for 2 days,ie. 150-200,then keep repeating.
I have been going really low lately,and looking much tighter for it.
Numbers are just examples.

Randy, Good luck w/the plan.. I've NEVER done low carbs before this year and it's worked BIGTIME.. 3 weeks out right now & I'm on a 3-day SUPER LOW(5 grams some days..literally) rotation for the next 16 days until peak week and it is working WONDERS!! Visual differences DAILY.. The higher fat worked exceptionally as I was coming down as well b/c I was rarely hungry. Keep us up to date..

You never have to go that low in carbs. Sure, it will work for awhile, but how long? How necessary is it? Not necessary at all. Similar to why the Atkins diet eventually fails everyone in the long run, you just can't keep your carb levels that low and not go insane. If you feel that you want a small tablespoon of ice cream, that will cost you a measely 15g (actually 15g is contained in a 1/4 of a cup of ice cream....I'm the ice cream man I know these things!). Once a day won't hurt you to do this. And it's enough to keep you from feeling deprived, and not go mentally insane. Overall, once the dieting stage is over and your no longer trying to come down in weight (just maintain), I feel there is absolutely no reason you need to dip below 80g a day. Look at the fat loss as a pyramid...in order of importance:
1. Activity levels (gym, day job, housework, cardio etc...) 2. CALORIE intake. Total amount of calories ingested. 3. Food compisition. This is the high fat, low carb, or high carb/high protein diets.
Number 3 is the one you need to worry about the least, if you have 1-2 dialed in correctly. Anyway, some food for thought!

Agree with Youngblood… i believe in a low carb approch, but i would not suggest to go lower than 60g. If the repartition during the day and the source of those 60g are correct, i think the result would not be better by going lower.
But i know there is many ways to achieving a shredded body... so the zero carb approch can be very efficient too! Good luck Randy.. Keep us informed! (Any developpement on the idea of doing a contest Randy?)

I need the lower carb with a bit higher fat. Strange I know, but.....
The contest, I am not sure about. I am a bit off. There is still about 5 weeks left, but.....
May have to shoot for one at a later date. My diet was changed so slowly, which made the fat reduction slow as well.
I am going a bit more extreme now, so we'll see

I need the lower carb with a bit higher fat. Strange I know, but..... This is how I work, as well as about 75% of the population. Many people cannot tolerate high-higher carb diets.
