This weekend I am taking a exam that is eight hours long. Four in the morning and four after lunch. When I take an eight hour class I start burning out about two hours after lunch so I know I will need help to make it through the other two. What would you suggest for breakfast and lunch to help maintain energy through the exam? I don't think I can take snacks in with me so I will be limited to those two meals until afterwards.

Tawiii,I would make sure to eat some slow digesting carbs such as yams,oatmeal,and/or baked potatoes.
Fats digest slow also....try some whole eggs and 2-3 Tbsps. of Natural peanut butter.
Too bad you couldn`t sneak a high carb protein or meal replacement bar in there with you.
Get a good night sleep before the day of the tests also.

I would say:
For breakfast
Oats w/ banana + berries, 5-6 egg whites + 1 yolk, 1 tblspn natty PB.
For Lunch:
Large Sweet potato, Chicken breast, Walnuts, Broccoli
Or
Pasta w/ lean ground beef meat sauce

Thanks for the suggestions. It's been advised that since they lock the doors and you cannot be late that we eat in the parking lot. I could probably eat a cold meal, no harm in that is there? I won't know what exactly they will allow until the day of the test, but I will definitely have a couple power bars in the cooler just in case. I hope I can manage a good night sleep. Last night I woke up about 3am thinking about some of the equations I have been shoving into my head.
