Is this a big no no? I am having my usual 8 egg whites/morning and 1 yolk scrambled and a bowl of oatmael, but I miss bread alot. Isn't there some sort of carb free bread called Ezekiel bread?

Try whole grain wheat bread lite. 2 slices is 16g carbs and 6g fiber.

most of the whole grain bread in super markets are crap.
Like at the ingredients.
Ezekiel is like the only bread i find that i would eat as part of a diet...
besides the bread i eat at IN-N-OUT Burgers...lol
However...i bet alot of people on this board would tell you that they would take out bread from the diet when they are cutting.

I don't compeate anymore, but when I start my diet (usually 12 to 16 weeks, depending on how much weight I've put on in the winter) I still diet "as if" it were for a show. The FIRST thing I cut out is ALL breads!!!!!!!! In fact, now that you've brought it up, I can tell you that I haven't had any kind of bread since March. The only thing I really miss is peanut butter on whole wheat bread, lol, but once the cold weather sets in, I'll probably have a sandwich on the weekends, Vin.

I cut it out completely too but I do have the odd client that likes the Ezekiel bread so I ration it to every 2nd or 3rd day to keep them sane.

Okay no breads. I guess I will get my carbs from oatmeal, potatos and brown rice, which are better carbs IIRC because it's complex. Bread is hard to break away from because it's tasty goes well with alot of foods and tastes good. But, the sacrafice must be made, i gotta get lean again.

Beckie added bread to my diet in the morning b/c I was one of those "I need it to keep me sane"people. Although on Saturday's I eat alot more breads/carbs...I cannot help it!!!!!

I love bread too,but it sucks as a diet food...........now after the diet is over,or the weight loss goal reached,you can eat it in moderation.
When I diet,any junk is gone right off the bat,as well as bread,fruit,and dairy.............I love all of the above,but they don`t care too much for me!! LOL #pacifiersmiley6ch#

I take Vit.C,E,B-Complex,Calcium,and veggies. Jay,glad you got back on the board,I had no clue as to how to help you other than to use my e-mail address as if it was yours. That helps as sometimes the e-mail addy is the problem.......I don`t know why this happens but it does occasionally,and hasn`t in quite some time. Anyway,glad you got back on board.

For me...bread (as dairy) is not the first thing to cut! As said Hoopie, there is some types of whole wheat bread who contain a lot of fiber and are low in fat and carbs! But at a certain point in my diet (usually 12-14 weeks out) i do have to cut bread. At this moment, oatmeal and brow rice become my #1 source of carbs!
