Wow does anyone elses appetite go through the roof when they are on a strength/size gaining route? I'm doing 3x a week workouts using compound movements and every 3 hours I get really hungry. Instead of 5-6 small meals I'm having full on meals. I guess I should go with, and not too TOO crazy on the carbs. I'm able to add 5lbs to each exercise every week.

Yes, take advantage of this appetite. I will eat anything you put in front of me during a "strength and size" gaining time period. I have been known to add a scoop of ice cream to a meal or two during the day so I guess I do go CRAAZZEE with the carbs and eat every 2 hours. But now I am crabby and getting ready for 2007 and only take in about 50-75 grams of carbs a day.

I hear ya. I have been eating everything not nailed down. Then again, if it was nailed down I would probably just pry it up and eat that too..

I always have a healthy appetite, but I have to watch as I'm carb sensitive BIG time. I can up the protein and fats through the roof and not get fat as long as carbs are in check.

When someone says "carb sensitive", what exactly does that mean?

I think they are referring to the blood sugar or insulin reaction-some people get big highs and lows after eating certain carbs-it is often related to hypoglycemia or diabetes,and they get dizzy/heavy/lethargic(amongst other things). I am 'sensitive' to certain types of carbs,wheat breads,pasta so I do not eat them because I know how my body will react.
