If you're doing the low-carb thing, why even attempt to have bread? To me, that's like trying to run a marathon and you take off in a full on sprint out of the gate, with 25 miles to go. In other words, form does not meet function.

Yuo got a point, but how about for people that just want to have a sandwhich without over laoding on the carbs. i think 8gs is enough, and i can have 3 pieces and feel full. plus, if i eat 3, thats 24g, but of regular whole wheat, 3 slices would be upwards in the 50s.

To me, a sandwich can be eaten without bread. Kind of like a eating a French Dip sandwich without the jous.
