Have any of you guys used Tribulus terrestris before? I've read about it for years but never used it.
I was reading my about a product from Prosource called Andro Test, any comments? Is it legal in drug tested shows? Will it show up on a drug test?

I think Andro is banned in most natty shows. I just ordered Fenotest by Primaforce/Scivation.. I used it a while back with some descent results. Check it out www.bodybuilding.com/store/sv/feno.html

A co-worker asked about these types of things before. I explained it to HER this way: Well, you know how you can't "spot" reduce right? You just don't lose in ONE spot...just all over. Well, same with working out, eating, and supps. You just don't get BIG in one spot. You get BIG ....All over! She stares at me a lot now.... ;D

My only advice is do your research. Some of this stuff has side effects. And some can inhibit libido if not properly cycled (shrunken testicles.just think "grape nuts") and lastly. most is kinda expensive....could be losing a lot of money down the drain.
I'm not saying ALL do not work, I'm saying some can be a waste, and some can be dangerous, and some can be positive tested at shows, and some might be illegal.
Do your research....and proceed carefully.

If you want to keep your hormone levels more stable trough a diet cycle,a better option is ZMA as it helps keep the testosterone levels normal even when dieting strenuously. Of course it will only work if you are deficient in any of the minerals required-zinc and/or magnesium. I took it over my last diet cycle and I did not get overtrained or burnt out the entire time!

Thanks for the feedback guys and gal! I'm inclined to stay away from things of this nature but I was reading about this particular product and it peaked my interest.
Frank you're right alot of this stuff is over priced and I have thrown away good money before!

I'm not a big supplements believer... and this supp. is no exception. I'm not saying that it's a bad product, it's just that it will give minimum improvement for high investment ($) so if money is no object, why not... if it is, do like i do, and invest on food and protein powder...
Keep us informed Joel!

I'm just gonna say this once.........I HOPE it is understood in the way I intend it to be. I have never quite understood the never ending search for the "steroid that's not a steroid" supplement. In my book "there's steroids and there ain't" and the search for that "steroid that isn't a steroid" is both futile and to some degree hypocritical. Look...if you want the "effects" of a real steroid...you are gonna have to take steroids..period! And all of the pro-hormone, pre-cursor, and testosterone elevating products that are or were there, are really just a poor man's steroid! I don't care if it is not listed as an illegal substance at this time or not....look what happened to "pro hormones".... Explain to me what the difference is in the mind of someone who takes pro hormones compared to the mind of someone who uses steroids. It is only because one is, or was, legal, and the other is not. It has nothing to do with being clean or "natural", whatever the hell that truly means. You can bet your bottom dollar that alot of these guys, with a few exceptions, of course, who run around professing themselves to be natural would be juicing with any and everything if it were legal. They'll take everything they can get their hands on that might "mimic" steroids, until that is no longer legal, then they go on the great search for something else..often falling prey to marketing and dubious "research" based claims, AND wasting a hell of alot of their hard earned money! Does anyone else see the hypocrisy of this!? To me it's the old "you can't be a LITTLE pregnant", and the "if it walks like a duck and sounds like a duck, it's a duck" arguements combined. I really do not intend this to offend anyone , merely it is MY sentiment concerning the whole testosterone enhancing supplement circus. A waste of money if you are expecting any significant results...most of which is probably due to a "placebo effect". I think you would do just as well with out them......if you are looking for steroid alternatives...they do not TRULY exist. If any of this stuff has ANY effect, it is minimal at best. Kinda like comparing a tricycle to a Ferrari. I am NOT suggesting that anyone use anabolics...I am saying that if you want to call yourself "natural" and be honest about it...why are you playing the pro hormone game. Don't hide the use of "baby anabolics" behind the mask of legal vs. illegal.

Good post Keith! You're not offending me at all. Thats just good advice for everyone! I knew if I asked for advice on this subject I would get solid answers from the folks on this board! Actually, Joel this wasn't intended for anyone in particular...it was a general take on my personal view on this subject...it was not a response to you in a direct sense...in fact, looking at your level of development I would ask, "why would you even feel a need to look for something of that ilk?" Look where you got to this point...unless you're willing to dump alot of REAL steroids into your body...and I KNOW that isn't you.......You are not going to morph into something you already aren't. You have a GREAT physique.......don't waste your money. Keith

Thanks Keith, I do respect your advice immensely! You're right I've never been too heavy into supplements anyway, mostly because the majority just don't work!

Thanks Keith, I do respect your advice immensely! You're right I've never been too heavy into supplements anyway, mostly because the majority just don't work! That's exactly my point, Joel............the business side of this sport is that it is purely a supplement driven industry. Since I began training, I have seen literally hundreds of the "newest, latest, greatest" breakthrough supplements come and go. If you were to research which "breakthrough" supplements of 10-15 years ago were still on the market today, I'd wager you would be hard pressed to find ANY. Why.......because the test of time proved they were worthless. Keith
