Mystic...kinda been through this before, but I'll make a few more comments and then I'm done.
1. Who says anyone that works out with weights NEEDS protein every three hours... that is NOT true!
Supplement companies started that bullsh*t for obvious reasons..as I have said COUNTLESS times before..I NEVER held myself to the "every 3 hour" rule and I've done fine!
2. Like Steve said...go out and ENJOY yourself...if you are not a competitive bodybuilder with a contest coming up, why are you worried about eating like one? I compete at the National Level and I eat whatever the hell I want to in the off season!!! I am not saying go and get fat, but you don't have to eat like a competitive bodybyuilder with a show right around the corner to get into very good shape!
3. Make up your mind about what direction you really want to go in regards to your training and your diet.......last time I read something from you on diet you said you were somewhat overweight, had family health issues that may be associated with excess weight, but you were 'bulking" till sping, and then you would begin to cut!! Hey..... if you need to cut, then do it now! And even then you DON'T NEED to have the protein every 3 hours!! It's really more a matter of carbs and calories.
4. You make it sound like you owe it to your friends to go out with them! Hey, if you want to go out..go out.If you want to stay home..stay home!! Priorities!! AND, even if you go out, if you were out for 6-7 hours you'd only need to eat once, so I really don't understand the comment about trying to find a place to eat every few hours.
5. I don't mean this to be harsh Mystic, I think a part of you wants to get this thing going in the right direction, .......but sometimes, you seem to be searching for excuses to keep you from making a REAL committment to get into shape. It is not as complicated as you are making it out to be. Believe me, most competitive bodybuilders only truly look like "competitve" bodybuilders during in season training. The rest of the year they look like big guys who are in good shape. You can have that look OR you can go for the competitive bodybuilder look. Either way, you DO NOT have to consume yourself with what you might think is a "bodybuilding lifestyle". I have a 20 year marriage,4 kids- one of whom is in a wheelchair, a career, and more responsibilities and obligations than you can ever imagine...I find time for all of that, AND my bodybuilding....Like I said earlier, I compete at the National Level, yet my bodybuilding, by no means, consumes me, I would never allow that, and my obligations as a husband and a father wouldn't allow it....it is just a small part of who I am. BUT...if you want to make it all work you have to be MOTIVATED. Don't make it out to be something it is not..... it's not rocket science...but you have to decide what you want to do and then DO IT........there are no excuses!
