I workout around 5:30-6:00 daily and i dont get home till about 7-7:30. so figure i take a PWO shake at 7:30. i still need to get that 6th meal in AND the shake before bed but then when i think about it, ill be ingesting 900+ calories in about a 3-4 hour window before bed. could this be too much??? and how can i fix this

Eat the 6th meal @10:00 and forget the shake. If it was me, I'd have protein only with some veggies. If you do throw in some carbs don't overdo it. If you feel you really need the shake,( I don't believe in them), wake up in the middle of the night and have a whey shake with no carbs.

well post workout is a shake with milk (8 protein, 5 carbs, 4g fat) and 1 scoop of powder (15 protein, 20 carbs, 0 fat)
then i have the meal an hour later. i guess for the meal i wont have any carbs, just load up on protein

As i told you, i dont see any problem (I would even recommand you to do it) for you to eat at 7h15, 8h15 and 10h15 if you keep your protein around 30g for the last 2 meals and the fat and carbs very low during those same 2 meals.
