Hi everyone,
reading of Tim's troubles with his car (btw how the sundance's going? Hope fine) made me think about my old one so I wanted to ask you two questions (if you're interested).
Which is your car?
Which is your favorite car of all time? And why? (I know this can be hard but only one choice)
I'm curious since I live in Italy and between ita and the Usa speaking of car there is a difference in mentality and choices, due mostly because of the differences in space, streets, territory I think.
Here's mine:
I have a 1996 Opel Astra Station Wagon 1700 cc diesel.....(sigh);
Favorite car of all time 1984 Ferrari Testarossa (yes, white................I loved Miami Vice!)
let me know (if you want)
ciao a tutti

I have an 87 Ford Escort, which I'll be stuck with a while longer. Sorry, Tim. Someone in Mass. won the mega lottery so we have to keep our cars for now!

TIM, from what you are writing it's obvious that the old Plymouth made some serious damage to your relationship with cars ;D ;D ;D

We've got a 92 Escort wagon that I kinda inherited when my Mom & Dad got so they shouldnt' be driving any more. It runs cheap, and just never breaks. That's all I ask of a car. I say 'inherited' because I tried to pay Mom for the car but she wouldn't take my money. I gave the money to my Sis so she could put it in Mom & Dad's bank account.
I've got a 93 Geo Tracker that I traded a couple of guitars to get a few years back, it's my desert toy. All stripped down, no top, covered with dirt, dust about a half inch deep all over the interior. My wife won't even sit in it. I used to spend my weekends exploring the desert in it. It has also been very reliable even when I was beating it pretty hard.

Tim,
The Bugatti belonged to a neighborhood friend. It was fun to ride around town. What a great feeling with just me, my neighbors BIG dog and the wind in our faces. You can imagine the amused looks we got form people. The dog loved the ride as much as me! ;D
I will admit that driving a nice car is wonderful expecially if you travel alot. And powerful, high end cars are great fun!!
I would like to get an old beat up reliable truck that I could haul junk around.
Personally for myself, I have always driven the cheapest car I can buy. That way, I don't have to worry about it! I am with you Tim, as long as it gets me where I need to go.

Jaxon, you are lucky you have got trucks! Cars are a big investment but many men have love affairs with their cars! MikeKy, That is an old car! I don't know what it is but it sure has lots of personality. I like those classic cars. Today, you cannot distinguish one car from the other.
