I should be getting Ronnies new DVD workout in the post this week. I'm looking forward to it.
Does he deadlift like he did in his last video?

I`ve never seen any of Ruhl`s video`s but I would imagine Ronnie`s much stronger.
He`s touted as one of the strongest bodybuilders ever, which isn`t really too hard to beleive.

Yes but he's also one of the biggest ya know? I'm not taking away from a dead like that but when you remember that they have Franco doing 730 with no wraps and barehanded it kinda takes the WOW! factor out a little bit. Still an incredible video none the less.

Eric:
Franco Columbu was another great lifter, I remember when competed in WSM against competitors weighing >100# and held his own.
What made Ronnies deadlift so impressive was the fact that he did it 5 weeks out from the Mr Olympia. Johnnie Jackson is another great bodybuilder with a big deadlift; he's pulled 815 four weeks out from the 2001 USA's (and he did it in the 220 class!)

I just purchased that DVD not to long ago, it's amazing to watch. The only problem is they make him seem like bodybuildings Rainman. It comes off as all he does is Eat, Train, Sleep and yell "yeah buddy" and "light weight" I know he's not like that but it would have been better to see more personality in the DVD.

Not to make light of the feats of Coleman and Jackson because they are phenomanal, but go the power section at the bottom of the forum and look at Vince Anello`s story.
That guy was a deadlifting machine!! OK ,I`m done! ;D

For someone that big and strong, his voice sure is high and whiney. Seriously though, that is truly impressive. I've deadlifted half that weight for only 1 rep at 175lbs, I couldn't even begin to imagine how much 800lbs feels.
