My wife makes this for me and it's amazing. 1 lb lean ground turkey (or beef) 1/2 cup brown basmati rice (or regular rice) 1/2 chopped onion 1 smashed clove garlic 5 mint leaves (or 1 tspn dry) 1 dash allspice 1 dash cinnamon 1/4 cup water from the rice Cook the rice separately. Drain all but 1/4 cup of the liquid. Brown the turkey. Add in the 1/4 cup of rice water. Next, mix in the onion and garlic and cook until the onions are translucent. Next, add in rice and spices and mint. Cook everything together on medium heat for about another 2 or 3 minutes (or until the water has evaporated). Remove from heat and enjoy. I'm Greek so this is a basic stuffing for green peppers, tomatoes, grape leaves, etc... Personally, I enjoy the stuffing as is with a salad. The perfect meal. Enjoy!
