Exercise in a pill? No sweat By Clara Pirani, Health editor July 16, 2004 IT'S a couch potato's dream - a pill that can give your body the same benefits of exercise without ever having to break into a sweat. Australian scientists moved a step closer to making that dream a reality this week after they discovered the inner workings of an enzyme that controls the way our bodies accumulate or burn fat. A decade ago, researchers at Melbourne's St Vincent's Institute of Medical Research and the CSIRO's division of Health Sciences and Nutrition identified an enzyme that controls how the body's metabolism reacts to food and exercise... www.theaustralian.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5744,10149356%255E23289,00.html

Tim, it'll be outlawed/banned a month after it's conception. The government will hord it and find a pharmaceutical company to manufacture it and charge 5 times more than the otc cost.

The interesting question is : would you use it? Eventually, a similar pill will probably designed to increase muscle mass (and steriods don't count since you still have to lift weight in conjunction with usage). Used in conjunction with a fat loss pill, that will leave anyone able to have the look of a bber without the effort. Given this scenario, 1) would you take the pills?, and 2) would you keep lifting? Personally, I wouldn't mind a little extra help with fat loss but I would still keep lifting (it keeps me sane:) )

Same here - I'll accept the help with fat loss, but my time with the iron is good for my head.
