Thanks Tamas! I`ll have to look at more pics to see how I`ll base my opinion of the outcome. How many Pro-cards were given out?

Tim,
As far as I know, all the class winners get a pro card. I could be wrong though.

Tim and Tamas, each class winner at Nationals is eligible to apply for their pro card. It is the athlete's choice to apply or not, but rarely do they not.
Marvin Ward was an exception, winning 1999 Nationals bantam class but declining pro status. He knew he could not compete with size freaks like Ronnie so he elected to remain amateur and still compete. But now he could apply this year if he wanted. At just 5', 142 gives him great thickness and he is an imposing athlete.
There are 10 chances for male U.S. athletes to become pros:
Nationals - each of 6 class winners USA - top 2 in overall only Team Universe - overall winner Masters Nationals - overall 40+ winner
I think that the overall mens' winners of Jr USA and Jr Nationals should also get pro eligibility, since that was extended to figure class winners in those shows.

Thanks for clearing that up Gerry. Tamas, I think I must have been thinking of the USA`s where they only give out two cards.
