The opening day of the 2004 season has arrived! I figure there is at least one other college ball fan here (J65 has the Ohio State logo). My wife and I have Nebraska season tickets, the game kicks off at 6pm against WesterIllinois (hence my new avatar ) I'm real excited, we have a new staff led by Bill Callahan, he's spent the year installing the WCO. It's going to be a little different at Memorial Stadium this year! Anyone else off to watch a game today? Any opinions on the new season? Heisman, MNC, etc. Oh, one last thing: Go Big Red

Good luck to Nebraska, Chris. I'm not a big football fanatic in that I know every player and stats and stuff like that, but will read the sports pages from now on to see who and which team is doing good. Watched the last half of the Ohio State/Cincinnatti game with Ohio State up 23-6 with 5 minutes left in the game. They are still advertising tickets for the Pitt/Nebraska game on Sept.18th on the radio in the Pittsburgh area. I was going to change my avatar to show Pitt, just to rib you a bit. Pitt hardly ever sells out it's home games except if it's a rival like West Virginia. The Steelers take all the football thunder. It seems that Nebraska just missed the top 25 and is in 26th. www.usatoday.com/sports/college/football/usatpoll.htmGood luck to the Cornhusker's, although I will root for Pitt on Sept. 18th ;D And if Ohio State and Michigan go undefeated it will be a barnburner in Columbus this year. That will probably be tough since I think the Big 10 has 5 teams in the top 25.
