Tim, I am just passing this along as an idea, I think it would be useful if you added a section for “sports injuries” and move some of the past postings to it. I know there have been several posting with this topic and some great advice and information passed along. Unfortunately, the threads get spread out pretty fast, and are hard to find after a while. I know, because I am nursing what feels like a deltoid injury right now, and have been going through some of the old threads. It is just a thought, I won’t be hurt if you don’t use the idea , just throwing it out there. ;D

Michael, thanks for the feedback,I`ll leave it up to the members to vote on.
I personallky have no problem with it but I just don`t want to see the board with too many categories that seldom are used.
If enough people vote for it by replying here,I`ll definately add it.

Sounds like a category of interest. Seems worthwhile to add. Injuries are an unfortunate part of the sport.
Maybe topics concerning rehabilitation and preventive measures can also be incorporated into the category so it would be utilized more.

More input here!
I like the idea, I think Gerry put it best "Maybe topics concerning rehabilitation and preventive measures can also be incorporated into the category so it would be utilized more."

Great idea Gerry, that is a perfect fit for the topic, I unfortunately know I will need to use the info.

It has been done guy`s!! If you come across any interesting articles or advice on ijuries or injury prevention, post them in the new category please. Also pre-existing medical conditions that some of us might have can also be discussed there. Thanks for the feedback and if you guy`s can think of anything else the board needs or you might like it to have, start a poll ,and we`ll all vote on it....majority rules!! Thanks Michael !

I was holding off cause I'm of mixed feelings. While it's great to have such an advice section, you almost need very specific mod's to offer accurate advice... sometimes, with injuries and such, bad advice abounds ;D

I agree in that respect Troy, that`s why I put a disclaimer on the category in case any of us "doctors" give out the wrong "physician heal thyself" advice. ;D
I think if we just share our personal experiences or views and discuss things it`ll be Ok but obviously if something is wrong the best thing to do is to get a doctor`s opinion.
In fact I think I`ll leave that at the top of that board in a "sticky" post.

Definitely agree Tim/Troy.
that's why I like Gerry's statment about focussing on preventative/rehab issues.
My only concern before voting "yes" is that people would post "I have x and y symptoms, whats wrong with me?" type questions. Even a medical professional would not attempt a diagnosis on a bulletin board. Bottom line - go see a doc. period. (although as a group of over-enthusiastic bodybuilders I would be fascinated to read some of the creative diagnoses I'm sure we could come up with ;D )
As for rehab/preventative issues, that's a more appropriate subject.

Wish you well, Michael.
Excellent post, Troy. I would not presume to advise or diagnose any kind of injury. See a doctor or appropriate caregiver should always be the prevailing advice.

Teehee... smart man, smart man ;D Hey, seriously though I heard they're doing a "Dukes" movie, no sh*t. Burt Reynolds is going to play Boss Hogg (I believe they said). LMAO!! Wonder who'll play Daisey Duke... let's see if I can find a link... Jessica Simpson is supposed to play Daisey... WTF, she wasn't blonde... I can't find an "official site" but if you do a search on "The Dukes of Hazzard (2005)" there's quite a few links. It's in pre-production. I was/am/will always be a muscle car fanatic... ;D T
