I have created a new category on the board titled "Legends of Bodybuilding". It will deal with stories and pics, of famous and not so famous people, who left a lasting impression on the Iron Game, or on myself, for any reason.Feel free to post any pics, stories, or anectdotes, that you might want to add. This will also enable newer or younger people, to learn a little about the people who paved the way in the sport.Everyone should have some idea about the history of our favorite pastime. Posts can be about anyone, male or female, in any aspect of the Iron Game ie. Powerlifting,Fitness,Weightlifting ,Arm Wrestling,Magazine Publuisher`s,Contest Promoter`s,Strongmen, etc. As usual all input is valued and encouraged. Thanks, Tim

Sounds good someday when I get some time I will have to read up on all the articles here. Personally although TP is a little wacky at times I root for him for various reasons including we went to high school together, I did not know him but can testify he was built like Mike Tyson when he was sixteen and that is no joke. Probably my favorite of all time is Frank Zane. He was able to have a truly classic physique that could compete with much larger people. He also seems pretty cool from what I have read on his website and i get his newsletter and a few other products.

Cake,I love your interactions with TP, they are funny as hell.He doesn`t give you too much grief, but you sure bust his ass hard! ;D At times I`m afraid to gety into his threads because I might just get barred. ;)You know I got plans for a Zane thread,no doubt! How is Zane`s newsletter,I`ve been thinking about subscribing??

FZ and his wife both studied physcology if my memoery is correct. his newsletter is only $20 for four issues. I like it because he does not just dwell into BB but he is really into mind over matter and trying to think positive. I have always been a negative person so I have to work hard to be positive and try and listen to positive people. his website is frankzane.com. if you send him simple email questions he will answer, however he makes a living selling his products so he does plug them. some are good but his protein shake tasted horrible in my opinion. you could even try and do an interview with him for this website, I have no idea what he is like personally but based on his website ans a couple e-mails he seems real mellow.

Thanx Cake, that`s nice of you but I think I`ll just sign up for the newsletter.I don`t want to take your stuff from you.I`ve read his entire website in the past but it`s been a while since I got over there lately.I always like/adsmired Zane ,especially early in my bodybuilding days as a kid.He is so right in my oppinion about the mind dictating progress .If you can beleive ,you can achieve. It took me a real long time to beleive in myself. The mind lf the mind leads, the body will follow to a degree anyway.

Hi everyone, I'm Joe Meeko and am here to answer any questions you may have about anything you want to talk about. Check out the reserected Power Grips website that are now available again. I'm sending Tim a pair so he can give you his opinion on how well they work. I had them patented about 15 years ago and was selling them all over the world but got side tracked into other companies I started, ran and then sold. www.pyrotek.org I tried retiring at 40 and got bored so I re-statred Power Grip up again. The Power Grips use a unique "reverse grip" design that self tightens as weight is applied. Their awsome! and have helped me handle MUCH more weight in all back and shoulder exercises. www.power-grips.com Sincerely Joe Meeko Mr. Universe Mr. America Mr. USA Mr. North America etc. etc. etc.
