Sounds good Keith- I understand about the time involved in posting workouts, etc.. I have to post mine otherwise Randy gets all upset and doesn't believe I'm making my workouts ha!
Posting pics would be great for us to see- I'd like to see how good a REALLY old man can prep for a competition. ;D

Excellent idea, Keith. I don't really have the time to read everybody's workouts, but I do like to know how they are progressing with their goals. Insight to how you're feeling and pics would really be a benefit to many of us.

Most of you already know that I do double split training. This morning I was thinking about why I LOVE to train so early in the AM....and I realized that I get into an almost trance like state! No distractions, no clutter from the activities of the day....just a strong sense of quiet, and the focus that comes with it! As I was drinking my coffee this morning prior to my workout, I realized that I am truly a blank slate at that time.....all I am truly aware of is that I am drinking coffee, I am not engaged in anything other than that moment....I can "feel" the silence...I mean I literally sit in my den at the desk, door closed, with only the reading light on...no TV, no radio... stare straight ahead at nothing and ENJOY the hell out of it while I have my coffee!! I just think the stillness of the morning along with the quiet leads me to that "zone" like state of mental focus! At that moment, I am alive only to train and I honestly never have an interfering thought while I do my AM session....interesting!

Wow! Interesting! How are the actual workouts going? Back to 2 a days I see. Randy, The workouts are going just great! I am training twice a day again and the intensity is though the roof! I am actually hitting several BP's twice in one day...unlike anything that I've ever done before! Keith

I agree with you Keith that AM workouts rule. It just there are the people who NEED to be there because they got places to go afterwards. There isn't those dumb kids who run around messing around, or those losers who are on their cell phones at night. I love AM. No one bugs me, I'm VERY strong and focused and best of all, I don't have to wait for a machine or bench.

After I get over the shock of getting of bed that early to go to the gym I've liked it. Doesn't take me too long to get into a groove and they've got fresh brewed coffee most mornings so that helps. One question- how long are you awake before going to the gym? Do you eat or drink much before? ...ok that was two questions

The only thing I have is two cups of coffee and I'm good to go. If the low carbs are really getting to me I MIGHT, OCCASIONALLY, have a slice of canteloupe.....but , that's maybe once every 3-4 weeks!

It`ll be a really tough contest Keith, but I keep remembering the pics that you e-mailed me a few years ago before we really knew each other, and if you bring that package or better, you will be a force in your class as well as for the overall !!
