Tim, No man has ever won the Mr. Olympia on his third try at the title. It has been won on first thru 7th tries but never on the third try.
This year, tomorrow, one of the contestants will be making his third try for the Olympia. Will he make history?
Who is the competitor? ;D

In addition to Haidar, isn't this "marvelous" competitor competing for the 3rd time?

Chris,I`m not positive, but I think Melvin is out of the line up this year.
I have no clue as to why, or if it`s even true, but I have read this somewhere.

Melvin is not competing as of earlier this week when I called the office to check. But he does have two Mr. O entries so far.
And yes, Ahmed, Ahmad or however is the right answer.

And yes, Ahmed, Ahmad or however is the right answer. To further complicate things, I heard his name was pronounced Ock-Med. Or "Ack mad," which is how the spelled it in FLEX in his "Lines Of Lebanon" article. I care for the nickname, but calling him "Harmony" sure is easier than pronouncing his two other names!

Part of the name spelling problem may be this:
If you are competing in, say, Russia, and someone asks how you spell your name in Russian- would you know? I wouldn't. Unless an interpreter is here with a non-English speaking bodybuilder, mistakes can happen.
