CARDIO treadmill avg sp 3.3 in 3 1.22 mile 187 cal BW 224 - this is the lightest and leanest I've been 3 days out. Still holding water, got taraxatone for that. . Travel and carb up starts tommorrow. Water cut thurs night after weighin.

Weighed at 226, exactly what I was aiming for! Now more carbing and tonite cut the water in half. Prejudging tommorrow at 5 or so.

Thanks Roger and Joel! I met Keith, he came up and introduced himself, and Eric, what a beast! 10 in my class andI think I got at least 8th, more ripped than at least 2 guys and nailed my poses. Out to dinner, tommorrow the finals.

Well, I'm home, got in yesterday. I placed 10 th in the superheavyweights. I wasn't as defined or hard as I wanted to be any vascularity kept coming and going. I looked better at the finals, but I need to be freakier... Some real monsters there, Eric looked great winning the class, some of the guys looked like they had to be using a lot of drugs. Ditto the women. Had a lot of fun though.

Glad to hear you made it home OK. It was a tough contest from the pic's that I've seen.
You looked good, its just pretty much a freak show at the National level. You really have to be big and hard as nails.

Thanks Joel! I knew that going in , but the peaking process is never an easy for me. Overall, I I think I was close to my best condition ever. Only a problem with water and maintaining vascularity prevented it- my veins kept dissapearing, lol! Its funny now, it wasn't then. Onto Vegas, training hard these two days with lots of cardio tommorrow. I weighed 233 lbs at the start today, so I can afford to drop 7 lbs of water and still come in at 226 in Vegas. ( I have 2 national qualifications, one up in Sept, one in Oct, might as well use them. Getting married in Dec, so no shows again this year after Sat)...........................................................LEGS........................ Hammer Leg Press (warmup with the 115 lb sled + 2 pl a side, 5 pl 8 pl a side, 11 pl, 13 pl, 14 1260 lbs in plates plus 115 lb sled- 1385, . Leg Press rest pause style 14 pl + 60 ea side 1505 x 4RP! - up 20lbs Flex Leg Extension-(w/u . 255, 285) ............................... Hammer Leg Press rest pause style) 14 pl + 65 ea side 1515 x 4RP! - up 10lbs + didn't quite feel like a maximum effort, so did another set 1515 x 2+3RP!................................................. (w/u 2 , 3, 4, 5 pl a side), 6 pl a side x 1, 5 pl +25 a side - 500 in plates 504x 4, 5 pl + 35 ea side (524) x 3. . ..............Cable Crossover, (w/u 80, 100, 120, 140, 160, 180 ea for a couple) 200 ea arm x 6! bilaterally prex w Hammer Dip 5 pl+ 35 x 3 .........................................................../TRICEPS Pushdowns - hard stack 150 x 6- up 1 rep pre w Hammer dip 524 x 3- up 20 lbs, pushdown 150 x 7!- up 1 more. ------------ ABS Ab machine stack - 150 x 35 - up 3 reps, x 20, x17 GREAT WORKOUT! - very strong, several PR's! Carbs since show helped as did 'rebound effect' weighed 233 lbs before workout,............................................... after a short break did cardio................................ CARDIO treadmill 30 min 1.69 miles 257 cal, avg spd 3.4 mph, avg incline 2.5 - good cardio session too!

Cable Rows stack- 300 x 6 BB rows (w/u 135, 225, 315) 405 x4 - not quite to failure. Deadlits- on Hammer shrug machine w/u 2pl a side x4, 3 pl x2, 4 pl x 2, 5 pl x2, 5 pl, 6pl -565x 2, lacking on this, couldn't get 7 a side, probably due to doing legs yday, didn't want to force the issue. TRAPS.............................................................Hammer machine shrugs , 8 pl ea side 755x8, 9 pl 835x 6, 10 pl 925 x 3, 10 pl + 25 975 x a couple, plates kept slippiing on these last 2 sets, shelved it at this point. .......................................................................
