Well...last night..i had a really bad fever. When i woke up this morning..i felt better..but i was late for school....and i still had to make breakfast!!! When i did get to school....i was dozing off...like if i was on drugs or something!! Then i was thinking about if i should go to the gym today or not. I went for it anyway. O and i forgot to mention..when i ate a banana this morning...it didn't even taste good....!!! wtf!! when that happens..i know there is something wrong with me! And my workout sucked!!! I think i'll have to take a few days off until i feel better. I can't believe being sick and having a big headache would effect my performance!! So guys...how should i eat? do i keep eating the same as it is an OFF DAY?? Any suggestions on what to do would be appreciated...i mean i was never ever sick when i started lifting..this is a disaster!! And tomorrow is Squat day..and i really wanted to squat big ...but this damn fever...has definitely kicked my ass.

Max,just eat as good as you can under the circumstances and drink a ton of water.
Vitamin C might help you out also.

Priority right now is just to rest, take in the fluids and shake it off. The rest will follow. Feel better soon.

Maximum6 - I feel ya man. I have just now started working out after a week layoff from being sick. (i had a fever too) I HATE it when that happens. Getting sick blows. No training, no appetite which just makes you even weaker...then when you finally start training again, you gotta take it slow and it takes a good week or two to get back on track.
The best thing you can do is what these guys have said. Rest, rest, rest, and drink a ton of fluids. Vitamin C (2000mg), a few cups of green tea, and some garlic each day will help bolster your immune system and hopefully keep things from dragging out too long.
hope you feel better.

Hey bro, sorry to hear you're sick. Just do what you can. That's all anybody can manage.
Rest does a person good too ya' know?
Take care!

thanks you guys...this morning ..i felt a whole lot better..think the feaver is almost gone..
But i still feel a bit hot...my head still hurts a little bit..and my joints are a bit sore.
But i think i can get back on training on Thurs..we'll see.
But...my appetite has really been lagging...all the food i used to love to eat doesn't taste that great..you know...
Anyway..thanks guys!

if your sick the best thing to do is to rest. Heavy weight lifting drains the CNS, which is what you do NOT want if you are trying to recover. Rest, sleep, and eat well. The better you eat, the better chance you have to retain muscle/strength. Keep protein intake high. As Tim said, lots of Vit. C.
