Well folks the book has been out for a while now, but for some of you who haven't purchased it here is my review:
Let me preface this by saying if your expecting all the "secrets revealed" then you will be dissapointed. This book contains absolutely no drug referances.
But its still incredibly helpfull.
Each chapter profiles an athlete and describes all aspects of their contest preperation.
It starts off with Ronnie, goes through Yates, and several other pro's including:
Mark Dugdale,
Tom Prince
King Kamali
Bob Chick
David Henry
Victor Martinez
Art Atwood
Jay Cutler
and many more
Here is what you get from the book.
Since there are so many athletes, there is at least one persons regimen you can relate too.
Instead of the typical chicken and rice diets you can analyze each pros approach.
I found this to be extrememly interesting.
Heres an example of the following athletes typical carb/protein/fat ratio
Art Atwood 65% protein, 15% carbs, 20% fat
Ronnie Coleman's 60% protein, 30% carbs, 10% fat
Tom Prince 40% protein, 45% carbs, 15% fat
Jay Cutler 60% carbs! 35% protein, 5% fat
SO you can learn many differant approaches to achieving a ripped pyhsique!
The book is also nice because you can jump around. You don't have to go in order. Find the athlete you like and read.
Also of great interest is the differant approaches of cardio each athlete takes. SOme increase their cardio all the way up to the show. But others like Dorian would actually decrease their cardio. Dorian tells you why he does this and its valuable info!
Also each athlete describes their thoughts on posing practice (Tom Prince's is great for practicing the mandatories)
as well as the last week of prep.
All in all a solid and informative book. Some thing for everyone.
