Well folks, being a fan of Jay Cutler and the Arnold classic, it was easy for me to pick up this dvd by GMV.
I have the Pre-judging tape of this contest and it is shot from the first row, to the left of center. Being that is was shot on an angle, could have been bad. But its not. The prejudging tape has a lot of interesting close ups and the quality is very high.
So when I read that the evening show was also shot at an "interesting" angle I suspected it was the same angle as the prejuding.
Well I was wrong!
The first few chapters of this dvd is back stage pumping, and let me tell you know matter how impressive you are endless sets of rubber band curls can get boring!
But the coverage is good.
On to the night show!
The interesting angle that GMV talked about was actually from the side of the stage behind the curtain!!!!
How many people remember the shots from the 96 Olympia in which the photographer was behind the compatitors? Well this contest coverage is the basically done the same way.
Although its not a front view, the coverage is still good. The athletes were in phenomonal condition and all posed extremely well.
Jay and Chris were extremely ripped!
It is interesting to see the athletes facial expressions when they are hitting a reat lat spread or rear double bi. And the lighting is also interesting and in some cases is actually better then the front angle. A differant perspective all together.
If your true fans of the sport you'll want this.
If not save your money!
