This is such a good thread I thought I'd carry it over here!
Personally, no way! I'm making better gains faster than I ever did before. Of course not guzzling booze on the weekend helps!
To top that off some of the BIG BIG dogs at the Weight Room are taking notice, like Derrel Terrel.
Finally, theres John Pasco of Dallas. 76 and still doing shows and kicking butt.
Ski, you guys gonna come cheer me on in a couple of years?

You know it buddy!! Darrell Terrell.......awesome.........good to have guy`s like that around for incentive when you train. Oddly enough ,I used to correspond with John Pasco via e-mail, and the guy is incredible for any age, especially being in his upper 70`s,and overcoming physical problems to become a champion. As I said on Mayhem, this sport literally has saved my life and changed me for the better, carrying over into other aspects of my life, and I`ll never stop training, competing, and just living this awesome lifestyle!

I AGREE!
The cancer docs said I handled the chemo "well" due to my overall good condition.
At the gym it's like I've suddenly gained this team of supporters. Brandon my nutritionist, Tom my trainer, Derrel and others are all behind me.
It so helps to have folks believe in your dreams.....

Go for it, Brock. 40 can be just the beginning. Rusty Jeffers won pro status at 40 this year, as did Dave Marinelli at 50. So it ain't over till it's over! Tim, how about starting a Masters section on the forum? Combined, we are over 100 years old (ouch!) so who better? Think it would be inspiring! Lance is in a class by himself. One of the most amazing light heavies at any age. This year he kicked younger butt winning his class at Jr Nats. Check out his site, www.freekfizzeek.com and be amazed. Not sure if his updates are ready yet, but what's there is just incredible. I'll remind Lance about this forum and you do the same, Tim. Maybe he will cave in to the pressure! ;D

You are correct and say no way at stoping. I am 35 and I am seeing better muscle gains and separeation of muscles more than ever. As you said I think it is due to the not drinking on the weekends also . Keep it going and good luck to ya.

Thanks Gerry. BTW, I've bookmarked your posing article. By spring Tom wants me tanned and practicing poses in the Aerobics room at the gym. I made the mistake of saying I was crowd shy, so he wants me in a posing suit and tanned, a routine memorized so I can relax infront of people while virtually naked. "SHUDDER" Brock

Listen to Tim. He is right about you doing that. need any advice,Brock, just get in touch.
I once worked with a guy with potential and his gym buds talked him into doing a comp, even though he always had stage fright.
There were two other guys in the gym prepping for comps so I put them all through a mock prejudge to give them an idea of what to expect on stage.
The guy I worked with was shaking the morning before prejudge, and told him he might not be able to go on. Then I realized that he wore contacts, so I told him to take them out, and just do what we drilled in the gym on stage.
With the bright lights and being nearsighted, he couldn't see the audience. No nerves, and was 2nd in his class.
Whatever works!
